Terms of Service
Effective 2026-05-22 · version 3.0.0
About the operator: MyAppointee is a Micro / Small Enterprise (MSME) operating the MyAppointee booking platform with corporate office at Gurugram, Haryana, India. References to "we", "us", or "MyAppointee" in this document mean MyAppointee as the operator of the Service.
These terms of service apply to your use of the MyAppointee booking platform, available at myappointee.in and through our mobile applications (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to be bound by this document.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and MyAppointee, the operator of the MyAppointee booking platform (the "Service"). By creating an account, accepting an OTP, signing in via Google, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, Cancellation Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, and Wallet Terms, each of which is incorporated by reference.
1. The role of the Service
MyAppointee is a discovery + booking marketplace that connects users with independent service providers (doctors, salons, household services, tiffin and other categories). The actual service contract is between the user and the provider. MyAppointee is not a party to that contract, does not employ providers, and does not itself deliver any of the underlying services. We facilitate discovery, scheduling, payment, communication, and dispute resolution as an intermediary under section 79 of the Information Technology Act, 2000.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service in your own name. You agree to provide accurate information at signup and to keep it current. You are responsible for safeguarding your phone, OTP, password, and any device on which you remain logged in. Multiple accounts per phone or per email are not permitted unless explicitly enabled by MyAppointee.
3. Bookings
When you book a service through the Service:
- MyAppointee charges a booking fee in the range of ₹5–₹99 per booking. The exact fee for any given booking is shown to you before you confirm, and depends on the tier the provider has chosen.
- The service price itself is set by the provider and is collected directly by the provider at the time of service (cash or UPI). For at-home or pre-paid services we may collect both at booking, with the service price held in escrow until completion.
- Surge multipliers may apply at peak hours; the multiplier is locked at the moment of booking, not at the time of service.
- You may add a tip after a service. Tips go 100% to the provider; MyAppointee does not take a cut of tips.
For the full money + cancellation matrix, see the Refund Policy and Cancellation Policy.
4. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel a booking at any time before service start. Free cancellation applies if you cancel at least 6 hours before the slot start (the exact free-cancel window is admin-tunable and is displayed in the in-app cancel sheet before you confirm). Cancellations made inside the free window forfeit the booking fee. If the provider declines your booking, fails to accept it in time, or cancels after accepting, you receive a full booking-fee refund to your MyAppointee wallet. Refunds apply to the booking fee only; tips, add-on charges, GST, and other extras are not refundable.
5. Payments and taxes
Payments are processed through PCI-DSS Level 1 certified gateways (Razorpay and Cashfree). MyAppointee does not store full card numbers. MyAppointee is currently not GST-registered; once GST registration is completed, applicable CGST + SGST or IGST will be added to the booking fee and appear on each invoice. Provider payouts are made to the verified bank account or UPI ID on file.
6. Referral commissions
Users and providers may earn referral credits by inviting others to the Service. Current rates are displayed in the app. MyAppointee reserves the right to adjust referral rates at any time; rate changes do not affect credits already earned. Credits accrue only on completed bookings and may be withdrawn to UPI once they exceed ₹100, subject to the Wallet Terms.
7. Conduct
You agree that you will not (a) create fake or impersonating accounts; (b) use the Service to violate any law; (c) harass, threaten, or abuse other users or providers; (d) bypass the platform to book off-platform with a provider you discovered through the Service within 90 days of first contact (see Acceptable Use Policy); (e) post fake reviews or coordinate review manipulation; (f) reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract data from the Service.
8. Provider listings and reviews
Providers list themselves on the Service. MyAppointee performs reasonable KYC checks (Aadhaar/PAN/business documents) but does not warrant the quality, fitness, or safety of any specific service. Customer reviews on provider profiles reflect the views of individual reviewers; they are not MyAppointee's opinion. MyAppointee may remove reviews that violate the Acceptable Use Policy.
9. Subscriptions
MyAppointee offers subscription plans (MyAppointee+ for customers; Starter, Pro, Premium for providers) that unlock additional benefits, entitlements, or caps. Subscription benefits are dynamic and MyAppointee may modify them from time to time as described in the Platform Discretion section below. Current benefits are displayed in the app at the time of purchase. Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time; benefits continue through the end of the current billing period and MyAppointee does not pro-rate-refund the unused portion.
10. Intellectual property
MyAppointee, the MyAppointee logo, and the Service's software, design, and user interface are owned by MyAppointee and protected by Indian and international intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any IP rights other than the limited, revocable, non-exclusive licence to use the Service for its intended purpose. You retain ownership of reviews and other content you post, and grant MyAppointee a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to display, store, and use such content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Service.
11. Service availability
We strive to keep the Service available 24×7 but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend the Service for maintenance, upgrades, or for events outside our reasonable control (network outages, force majeure events, regulatory action).
12. Suspension and termination
MyAppointee may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, repeatedly violate the Acceptable Use Policy, attempt fraud, or otherwise abuse the Service. We will notify you of the reason where lawful and practicable. You may close your account at any time via Profile → Account → Delete account.
Platform discretion and reservation of rights
The Service is provided at the sole and absolute discretion of MyAppointee. Without limiting any other rights MyAppointee has under law or these documents, MyAppointee reserves the right, at any time and without prior notice, to:
- modify, suspend, restrict, hold, freeze, claw back, debit, set off, or forfeit any wallet balance, refund credit, loyalty points, referral commission, payout, subscription benefit, gift-card balance, or other monetary or non-monetary value attached to a user, provider, or account, when MyAppointee reasonably suspects fraud, abuse, chargeback risk, regulatory exposure, breach of these documents, or any other risk to the Service or its users;
- modify, limit, suspend, or terminate any user's or provider's access to all or part of the Service, including the ability to log in, book, list, message, withdraw, or hold a balance, with or without retention of data;
- modify, restrict, or revoke any subscription benefit, entitlement, capacity cap, feature flag, or commercial term, including those purchased for value, where MyAppointee determines that continuing the benefit would be inconsistent with the Service, applicable law, or these documents;
- hold, retain, archive, redact, anonymise, export, or delete any data, content, message, listing, review, dispute submission, KYC document, or other artefact associated with a user or provider, including for the purposes of fraud prevention, audit, regulatory compliance, dispute resolution, or product improvement; and
- change these documents or any other Service term, with notice via the app or website. Continued use of the Service after the change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
MyAppointee's exercise of any of these rights does not create a duty to provide a reason, to offer a refund, or to give advance notice, except where Indian law expressly requires it. Where a user disagrees with an action, the user may submit a grievance to the Grievance Officer at the address listed at the end of this document; MyAppointee will review the grievance and respond within the timelines required by the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyAppointee's aggregate liability arising from any single booking is limited to the booking fee actually paid for that booking. Providers are solely liable for the services they perform. MyAppointee is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Some Indian consumer-protection rules may not allow these limits; nothing in this clause excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MyAppointee and its officers, employees, agents, and partners from any third-party claims arising out of (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) your misuse of the Service, (c) content you post, or (d) your interaction with any provider whom you discovered through the Service.
15. Dispute resolution
Any dispute will first be attempted to be resolved through our internal grievance process (in-app dispute → MyAppointee's Grievance Officer → Data Protection Board of India, where applicable). Unresolved disputes will be referred to the Online Dispute Resolution mechanism notified under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, where applicable. Failing that, disputes will be settled by arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, by a sole arbitrator appointed by MyAppointee, sitting in Gurugram, Haryana, with English as the language of arbitration.
16. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to the dispute-resolution clause above, courts at Gurugram, Haryana have exclusive jurisdiction.
17. Changes
We may amend these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We reserve the right to immediately update these Terms to reflect changes in applicable law without prior notice.
18. Severability and entire agreement
If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect. These Terms (together with the documents incorporated by reference) constitute the entire agreement between you and MyAppointee regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreement.
