Wallet Terms
Effective 2026-05-22 · version 3.0.0
About the operator: MyAppointee is a Micro / Small Enterprise (MSME) operating the MyAppointee booking platform with corporate office at Gurugram, Haryana, India. References to "we", "us", or "MyAppointee" in this document mean MyAppointee as the operator of the Service.
These wallet terms apply to your use of the MyAppointee booking platform, available at myappointee.in and through our mobile applications (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to be bound by this document.
These Wallet Terms describe how your MyAppointee wallet works, what you can load into it, what you can spend from it, and the rules around refunds, withdrawals, holds, and forfeiture. They form part of the Terms of Service.
1. What the wallet is
The MyAppointee wallet is a closed-loop digital wallet operated by MyAppointee. It can be used only within the MyAppointee Service to pay booking fees, service prices (where the provider accepts wallet), tips, and subscription fees. It cannot be transferred to another user, withdrawn except through the explicit withdrawal flow described below, or used outside the Service.
The wallet is not a bank account, a payment instrument under RBI's Pre-Paid Instrument Master Direction, or a deposit. Balances do not earn interest. MyAppointee is not a "Payment System Provider" within the meaning of the Payment and Settlement Systems Act, 2007 — the wallet is an in-app credit ledger used solely to pay for services on this Service.
2. How money enters the wallet
You can load the wallet through any of the following:
- Direct top-up — pay through Razorpay / Cashfree / UPI / cards. The loaded amount is credited to your wallet immediately upon payment confirmation.
- Refund — when MyAppointee or a provider issues a refund (see Refund Policy), the amount is credited to your wallet by default.
- Referral commission — credits you earn from referring users or providers are credited to your wallet on completion of the referred booking.
- Loyalty points — earned on completed bookings under the MyAppointee+ subscription. Loyalty points are a non-monetary balance tracked alongside the wallet; they can be redeemed against future bookings at the prevailing redeem rate (currently 20 paise per point; subject to change).
- Gift card redemption — when you redeem a MyAppointee gift card, the value is added to your wallet (see §6 below).
- Promotional credit — MyAppointee may from time to time issue promotional credit to your wallet as part of marketing campaigns. Promotional credits may carry an expiry date and may be subject to additional conditions specified at the time of issue.
3. Top-up bonus
MyAppointee may offer a top-up bonus where loading the wallet by ₹X credits an additional Y% to the wallet. Bonuses are promotional, can be modified or withdrawn at any time, and are subject to the discretion clauses in §10 below. Bonus amounts are non-refundable to the original payment method.
4. What the wallet pays
You can use the wallet to pay for:
- The booking fee on any booking;
- The service price on bookings where the provider has enabled wallet payment;
- Tips you choose to give a provider after a service;
- Subscription fees (MyAppointee+ / Starter / Pro / Premium);
- Boost / featured-listing purchases (providers only).
The wallet is not usable for any purpose outside the Service. You cannot transfer wallet balance to another MyAppointee user, to a bank account (except via the withdrawal flow in §5), to any other digital wallet, or use it to pay non-MyAppointee merchants.
5. Withdrawals
Wallet balances earned (referral commissions, provider payouts, completed-booking earnings for providers) may be withdrawn to a verified UPI ID or bank account, subject to:
- Minimum withdrawal: ₹100.
- Maximum withdrawal frequency: as displayed in-app (typically once per 7 days for users; daily for providers).
- MyAppointee's review of the withdrawal request. MyAppointee may require additional KYC for amounts above thresholds it specifies from time to time.
- Processing time: typically 2 working days; up to 7 working days for first-time withdrawal or for amounts under review.
Wallet balances loaded via top-up are not directly withdrawable — they are intended to pay for services on the Service. You may request a top-up reversal to the original payment method within 7 days of the top-up by writing to support@myappointee.in; reversal is subject to MyAppointee's discretion, may take 5–10 working days, and is processed back to the original payment method only (not to a different account).
6. Gift cards
MyAppointee gift cards are closed-loop digital gift instruments with the following properties:
- Purchasable in denominations specified in-app; payable via Razorpay / Cashfree / UPI / cards.
- Delivered to the recipient via email or in-app message; redeemable by the recipient by tapping "Redeem" in the gift-card section.
- Upon redemption, the gift-card value is credited to the recipient's wallet.
- Gift-card balance is not withdrawable to a bank account — it can only be used to pay for services on the Service.
- Gift cards do not expire. The wallet balance derived from gift cards remains available until used or until the account is closed.
- Gift cards are not refundable once activated (i.e., once the gift card code has been generated). Inactive gift cards (purchased but never delivered) may be refundable subject to MyAppointee's discretion.
- MyAppointee reserves the right to invalidate a gift card where fraud is suspected (see §10 below).
7. Refunds to wallet
Refunds (booking fee, service price, dispute resolutions) are credited to your wallet by default and are immediately available for use on your next booking. If you prefer the refund to return to your original payment method, write to support@myappointee.in within 7 days. Reversals to the original method take 5–10 working days depending on your bank or card issuer. See the Refund Policy for the full matrix.
8. Holds during dispute or investigation
MyAppointee may place a hold on any wallet balance, pending withdrawal, gift-card balance, or loyalty point balance during:
- An open booking dispute affecting that balance;
- A KYC re-verification (random or risk-flagged);
- An investigation into suspected fraud, abuse, multi-account stuffing, or chargeback risk;
- A regulatory enquiry or court order;
- Any other circumstance MyAppointee reasonably believes requires a temporary hold to protect the Service or its users.
Holds typically last from a few hours to 30 days, depending on the underlying cause. MyAppointee will release the hold as soon as the underlying condition is resolved. MyAppointee is not obliged to share the underlying investigation material, except where Indian law expressly requires disclosure.
9. Forfeiture
MyAppointee may forfeit (claw back, debit, set off) wallet balance, gift-card balance, loyalty points, or referral credits in the following circumstances:
- Confirmed fraud, abuse, or breach of the Acceptable Use Policy;
- Reversal of a payment (chargeback) that originally funded the balance;
- Promotional credit issued in error or in violation of the campaign terms;
- Account termination for cause;
- Any other circumstance specified in the Platform Discretion clause in §10 below.
Forfeiture is permanent and the forfeited amount is not refundable.
Platform discretion and reservation of rights
The Service is provided at the sole and absolute discretion of MyAppointee. Without limiting any other rights MyAppointee has under law or these documents, MyAppointee reserves the right, at any time and without prior notice, to:
- modify, suspend, restrict, hold, freeze, claw back, debit, set off, or forfeit any wallet balance, refund credit, loyalty points, referral commission, payout, subscription benefit, gift-card balance, or other monetary or non-monetary value attached to a user, provider, or account, when MyAppointee reasonably suspects fraud, abuse, chargeback risk, regulatory exposure, breach of these documents, or any other risk to the Service or its users;
- modify, limit, suspend, or terminate any user's or provider's access to all or part of the Service, including the ability to log in, book, list, message, withdraw, or hold a balance, with or without retention of data;
- modify, restrict, or revoke any subscription benefit, entitlement, capacity cap, feature flag, or commercial term, including those purchased for value, where MyAppointee determines that continuing the benefit would be inconsistent with the Service, applicable law, or these documents;
- hold, retain, archive, redact, anonymise, export, or delete any data, content, message, listing, review, dispute submission, KYC document, or other artefact associated with a user or provider, including for the purposes of fraud prevention, audit, regulatory compliance, dispute resolution, or product improvement; and
- change these documents or any other Service term, with notice via the app or website. Continued use of the Service after the change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
MyAppointee's exercise of any of these rights does not create a duty to provide a reason, to offer a refund, or to give advance notice, except where Indian law expressly requires it. Where a user disagrees with an action, the user may submit a grievance to the Grievance Officer at the address listed at the end of this document; MyAppointee will review the grievance and respond within the timelines required by the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.
10. Inactive wallets
If an account is inactive for 24 consecutive months (no logins, no transactions, no contact with support), MyAppointee will:
- Notify you at the registered email / phone giving 60 days' notice;
- Allow you to reactivate the account by logging in within the notice period;
- If no response is received by the end of the notice period, mark the wallet as "inactive" and freeze further use.
Inactive-wallet balances are retained for an additional 24 months and may be reactivated by writing to support@myappointee.in with proof of identity. After the additional 24 months, balances are released to the MyAppointee general fund or remitted to the appropriate Indian regulatory authority as required by law.
11. Closing your account
You may close your MyAppointee account at any time via Profile → Account → Delete account. At closure:
- Any wallet balance that originally came from direct top-up and is unused will be reversed to the most-recent payment method on file. If reversal is not possible (card expired, account closed, etc.), the amount is held for 24 months pending claim, then released as in §10 above.
- Loyalty points, gift-card balance, and promotional credit are forfeited at closure.
- Referral credits and provider earnings that have already met the withdrawal threshold (₹100) and are not under hold are reversed to the linked UPI / bank account.
- Wallet ledger records are retained for the period specified in the Privacy Policy for tax and regulatory purposes.
12. Taxes
The wallet balance itself is not a taxable event. Loading or spending the wallet is not, in itself, taxable. Where MyAppointee is required to deduct TDS (e.g. on provider earnings above the prescribed threshold) or charge GST (where MyAppointee becomes GST-registered), the deduction is applied at the relevant transaction. You are responsible for your own income-tax declaration of earnings withdrawn from the wallet.
13. Changes
MyAppointee may amend these Wallet Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use of the wallet after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
